Perugia, the capital of Umbria and one of the finest cities in Italy is the centre from which we explore this fascinating region. Usually there is a difference in cost even for incoming calls from abroad. The most interesting parts of Umbria to stay in are: The area south of Lake Trasimeno - Panicale, Paciano This is a perfect location for a first time visit to Umbria. Its sizeable cypress forests in addition to pine and chestnut trees distingish the lush countryside. Despite these big names, the Orvieto Duomo marbles appear to seamlessly unite the efforts of at least 3 or 4 masters and many more members of their workshops.

Spello, on the lower slopes of Monte Subasio, is worth seeing for its Roman ruins, in particular its amphitheatre and its three Roman gates. Individually those would cost well over €30. Its best to park your car and appreciate the sights and atmosphere on foot Over the last few decades the quality of wine from Umbria has been steadily going up. We don't know everything and we are ready for input from anyone who has a better idea to offer. For smaller groups, Villa Spago may be rented for up to 8 guests with access to four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
